The Experience

On a mountainside in the middle of the Sacred Valley hangs at a height of more than 200 meters the Skylodge Peru. You will spend the night in one of the three completely transparent, hanging bedrooms. From your bed you have a perfect view of the Sacred Valley during the day and at night you have a perfect view of the Milky Way. It is not for nothing that the Skylodge Peru is also called the million star hotel!

The first day you climb 300 meters up with iron ladders (Via Ferrata) and then you have to abseil another 100 meters to get to the Skylodge Peru.
After a night in the Skylodge Peru you return to solid ground with a zipline over 7 cables, with a total length of 2500 meters.

You always climb up with a climbing instructor/guide. As a climber you are always attached to an iron cable along the entire route. Climbing experience for these 2 days is not required, but you do need to be adventurous!
If you only have 1 day, it is also possible to have lunch in the Skylodge Peru instead of an overnight stay. For the rest you will climb up with the iron ladders and go down with the zipline.
Instead of Cusco it is also possible to start and/or end this building block in the towns of Ollantaytambo or Urubamba.

Dress code during your stay
It is advisable to wear comfortable clothing for these 2 days. Wear long trousers (no shorts), trainers or walking shoes and bring a good windproof jacket and enough warm clothing. The coldest months are June, July and August. Also bring your toiletries. There is no shower in the Skylodge Peru.
Bring a small backpack in which you can put your things for the 2 days. Large and other luggage can be stored in the office of the Skylodge Peru if desired. Finally, bring at least 1 litre of water per person.
