Sacred Valley Peru

The Experience
The Sacred Valley of Peru is a beautiful, fertile valley with many remains from the time when the Incas ruled here. This is the valley from which the Inca expansion began. In its heyday, at the beginning of the 16th century, the Inca Empire was 4000 kilometers long and at that time it was the largest empire in the world in terms of territory.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
During the Sacred Valley Peru excursion, participating in an international group, you will visit Pisac, Chincheros, and Ollantaytambo in succession.
If you book the Sacred Valley Peru excursion with a private guide, we can put together the itinerary exactly as you wish.
Pisac is located just under an hour's drive from Cusco. This village has a large market that is ideal for buying Peruvian souvenirs. The market used to be open only on Sundays, but nowadays it is open 7 days a week. Outside Pisac, in the mountains, lies the eponymous Inca complex, from where you have a magnificent view of part of the Sacred Valley in Peru.
The beautifully situated fort of Ollantaytambo had an agricultural, administrative, religious, and military function during the time of the Incas. The fort consists of high, steep terraces and is one of the few places where the Spaniards lost a battle.
The lovely village of Chincheros in the Andes, at an altitude of 3,700 meters, was known to the Incas as 'the birthplace of the rainbow'. Besides the village itself, the highlights are the Inca ruins, the colonial church, the beautiful views, and the colorful market. This market, just like the market in Pisac, is open 7 days a week.
The excursion to the Sacred Valley in Peru lasts a full day. You will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco around 9:00 AM, and you will arrive back at your hotel in Cusco in the late afternoon.
